Updating artwork on iphone
In i Tunes 10 and earlier, you can see the art in the album art window.
To reveal the window, click the button that looks like a box with an arrow in it at the bottom left corner of the i Tunes window.
In some versions of i Tunes, a window pops up letting you know that you have to send information about your library to Apple to get album artwork but that Apple doesn't store that information.
There's no way around this; Apple needs to know what music you have to send you the art for it. In some versions, the status window at the top of i Tunes shows a progress bar as it scans your library for albums and downloads the correct art from i Tunes.
Information in this article applies to i Tunes 12 and i Tunes 11 on a Mac or PC except as otherwise noted.
But if you have a large library of songs without artwork, a sweeping third-party application might be necessary. If you only have a few songs that you need to get album artwork for, you can do so right in i Tunes without the help of any third-party software. The first is to right-click the individual song or album that’s missing album artwork then click .
Unlike the last method, this will get the album artwork for all of the songs that don’t have it in your library.
