If you want to install Maria DB with to install from Maria DB Foundation's Maria DB Repository by using the Maria DB Repository Configuration Tool.

Apparently, UEFI installations upgrade the installed GRUB version to the UEFI filesystem every time a GRUB update happens, but with legacy installations, this does not occur.

When I tried to use Discord today, it told me there was an update.
